Terrible tone from Orbi RBS40V

I recently purchased an Orbi RBS40V. It was easy to get setup as a satellite on my RBK50 network and get it setup with Alexa and Pandora. The features are great and I'm very happy with everything except the tone. This is NOT Harmon Kardon quality tone.

No matter how I set the tone settings, being preconfigured or custom, the HF tweeter doesn't appear to be putting out enough highs, so it is very muffled.  I thought maybe it was defected, so I swapped it out. Second one had same poor muffled tone. 

I wish Netgear would address this, as maybe there is a way to distribute more power to the HF driver, to eliminate this poor tone quality. My guess is this is why it is on sale right now. 

Anyone have any ideas other than return it?
