Trouble printing/scanning with Canon MX922

I have the Orbi router + 2 satellites setup.  I recently bought the mutli-function Canon MX922 printer that connects to the Orbit via wireless LAN.  When I try to print or scan, it is a hit or miss.  I read and articile that my PC is not connected to the same device as my printer.  Disabled the satellites so only the router is active and did not have any problems.  Since signals in the house overlaps, is there some setting I should be looking at so that the printer and PC will be considered to be on the same network even if one is connected to the Orbi satellite and the other on the Orbi router?  Thanks for your help.
