Turn of Orbi Wifi Radios?
I have an Orbi (bottom says RBR40, but wasn't a pulldown menu option on this forum). I want to disable the wireless radios on the Orbi. Is there a way to do this? I don't see the option anywhere. Tha...
Orbi doesn't support that.
Thanks for response... but what the heck? That seems like a basic feature. Guess it's time to pitch the Orbi and look for a different router then.
Maybe on non MESH wifi routers however for wifi MESH systems, wifi is generally on always as the RBR is servicing connected clients and also maintaining wifi connectes with the remote RBS which needs to be connected always. How MESH systems work and designed.
Right. But sometimes people want to turn off 2.4GHz or 5GHz radios (or both) for various reasons. Adding a toggle to turn it on/off or even setting power output to 0% would work, and seems like a basic option, even if hidden under advanced settings.
