Ok. I'll give that a whirl later tonight. I had to revert back to the old Comcast equipment becuase I could not crack the code on this set up.
Any benefit to getting the Orbi Wifi up and running with the old Comcast router/ modem? I know that the CM 1100 works, once I call Comcast and have them add the MAC address and restart the internet service. If I can get the Orbi WiFi up and running with the original Comcast modem at least I would know that it's working and I cold set up the WiFi network with the Orbi ahead of time before I swap the CM 1100 for the old Comcast modem/router. Will that work?

Yes, disable wifi on the modem router and configure the Orbi for AP mode:
