Or try 2.2.1.210 in between for the RBR.
RBS should direclty update to v16 with out any intermediate versions.

Tried updating to version RBR50-V2.2.1.210 & 212 but no luck.
Is there any way to unlock the ISP provided Orbi device.

Tried TFTP (orange color is not glowing as the device is not bricked) also but no luck,

Did you try Windows version of TFTP or NGs downloadable version? I've seen posts were using the other app worked vs the other app. Something to try.
I presume the ISP FW has the RBR locked down and can't be loaded with NG stock FW.
