update firmware C7000v2
I am attempting to install my new Orbi and I get a message that the Orbi does not support my router model C7000v2. It says to open the Nighthawk app. So I download the Nighthawk app and it says that my router firmware is not up to date. So I then make three calls to Spectrum and all 3 say they cannot do this and to call Netgear. So frustrated. I have tried a factory reset hoping it would automatically update the firmware, but it did not. Any suggestions?

First off, make sure your C series modem in in bridge mode. Check the user manual for information regarding this.
FW updates are handled by ISPs only for ALL cable modems. "Firmware upgrades are pushed down by your ISP. For more information, please see our Knowledge Base ."

Once you have the modem bridged or in modem only mode, connect the Orbi RBR to the modem. Power OFF the modem and RBR for 1 minute then back on. Then power ON the RBR and walk thru the setup wizard with a wired PC connected to the RBR. Or check the RBRs web page for internet status.
