USB port

Has anyone used the USB port on the router?  Everytime ( up through pre FW ver 1.4 ) when i plug in an external drive to it, it crashes the router, ie: i loose internet access.

    hi

     

    currently the usb port is not enabled so dont attach anything to it unit netgear release firmware to address the usb specifically

     

    at this stage there has been no word as to if and when the usb port will be activated
