Using my Orbi RBR50 and RBS50 in AP mode...questions and issues.
Hello, I know there are many aritcles on this subject but every single one of them leaves out something or does not provide specific "order of operations" so to speak so I am hoping someone can pr...

Fortunately the results will be almost obvious:
- If the Orbi interface shows the public IP address matches "what is my IP", he was correct.
- If the Orbi interface shows the public IP address to be one of the private IP addresses*, he is full of (xxxxx).
Private IP addresses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_network The most common used by Internet Service Providers are 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x

Well, it works but not with good results. Everything is up and running but speed tests are all over the place and my computer is as slow as molasses. When I run the speed test from within the ORBI interface it show perfect speeds but my computer is barely registering 1-3 mbps upload which is ridiculous. (My ISP plan is 250 mbps).
I have read in places it takes a few hours for the Orbi to settle in and get things up to snuff but that makes no sense to me. Are there settings I am missing when I re-set up my Orbi? I went through all the settings and everything looks correct but I am no genius at this. I just wanted my Orbi's back in action like they use to be...and this is not it.
What can I do or check that you could think of? Also the ORI user interface makes me login every minute or so or when I move into a different section? Nevere remember it doing that before. Keeps saying I have to login as it is not a private connection.
See screenshots of the ORBI interface speed test and ones I ran through Midco and the standar speed test site.
Thanks

Midco speed test

The Orbi Speed Test is reported from a program running on the Orbi router itself. (A version which Netgear appears to have licensed from Ookla. This test is saying, "Midco is delivering what they promised."
The second Speed Test is reported from a web browser running on the computer, which accessed the web site http://speedtest.midco.net This also appears very similar to the Ookla Speed Test except that it is measuring the speed from a server in Kansas rather than some random nearby server.
There is something "not good" about the connection between the Orbi and the computer.
How is the computer connected to the Orbi?
- Ethernet cable? Can you try a different cable?
- WiFi? What does the Orbi Attached Devices or the Orbi 'app' Connected Devices say about the connection?

Hey again,
Now everything is running like a champ....all speed tests are at 250 mbps or above now. My computer is wireless...always has been. I only have two things hard wired and that is my Hue Lighting system and my WD MyCloud storage unit. Everything else in my home is wireless.
The connected device page is displaying everything (showing what is wired and what is connected to the router and what is connected to the satellite and the radio frequency). Like I said, everything looked good in the interface....so I don't know why everything has come back to life now.
Going to run another speed test while I am typing this just to make sure....hold on.
Yep - still going strong. Maybe it is because I restarted my computer a couple time due to an issues connecting to my WD MyCloud? I was getting ready to throw the Orbi's out the window....but I will give it 24 hours and see if performance is now steady. I attached the newest screenshot
Is there any chance system configs had to sync up in the background someway between the modem and the router?
Also why do I have to keep logging in over and over when in the Orbi interface? (I use the we access and not the app)
Thanks for your help as alwaysMike

On the web interface, many of the pages do require the user to authenticate after what seems like a very short time*. What annoys me is my own habit of opening the Orbi web interface in one tab while opening the Community Forum in another tab. That authentication window will pop up while I am typing a response and before I know it, I have already typed over the User Name field ("admin"), so I have to backspace to clear the entry field, then type in "admin", then press enter.
* I am not sure every page does that, and I have never found a user accessible setting for the "idle timeout". (I would set it to 10 hours if I could.)
