V2.7.0.70 on RBR50 v1 updated via iphone App
Had an UPDATE icon on my iphone app this morning so I upgraded I know see the latest firmware loaded I have a USB port on the back of my router so I assume its v1 NOT v2? Should the latest ...

There is a long thread on the forum about 2.7.0.70. Reports are that it includes Netgear's new Parental Controls package. Some time ago, Netgear partnered with Disney Circle to provide Parental Controls (because the basic options included in Netgear's software was clearly inadequate). Now, it appears that Netgear has decided to do their own Parental Controls and get all of the monthly subscription fee rather than split it with Disney. If the customer is already subscribed to Disney Circle, 2.7.0.70 does not remove it. If the customer has never activated Parental Controls, it appears that the Circle option will no longer appear and the "paid" option will be Netgear's version.
The 2.7.0.70 posts include linkss to web pages describing the new service.
And, as is often the case, this new version does not appear on the official support page, so there are no "Release Notes."
