What's with the satellites showing "Good" connection but not functional?
My satellites show up as connected with "Good" wireless backhaul status in the router's web interface, (run off a Mac connected via Ethernet to the router). Ring lights are off on the satellites. All...
Correction: The ring light on the satellite is red (no connection). The backhaul (5G) is still Good in the router web interface.
The satellite is not pingable or reachable via its IP address.

I understand that devices that are connected to your satellites are not able to connect to your Orbi network. To resolve this please bring your satellite closer to your Orbi satellites then do a factory reset. After completing the factory reset, resync your Orbi satellites to your Orbi router then place the satellites in at their desired locations.

Community TeamAll activities are using Chrome on a computer connected to the router via Ethernet.
I removed all satellites from the router.
I brought the satellite to the same room as the router. I reset teh satellite (pin in the pinhole till amber power LED flashes.)
I re-paired the router and the satellite using the buttons on each.
No dice. I get a solid magenta on the satellite.
When this happened a few weeks back, I attached the satellite to the router with Ethernet (wired backhaul), paired the two, switched to 5G backhaul and moved the satellite to its destination location. That worked for a few weeks.I'll try that tomorrow.

This information appears to be inconsistent. (Either one is true or the other, but not both.) Sometimes the Orbi web interface takes a while to update. If it continues to report a "Good" connection with the satellite, but the satellite shows the magenta LED (sort of 'red') and devices cannot function, then a Factory Reset is the "last recourse".

The router is working and has always worked. My computer is connected to the router using Ethernet. I access the router and satellites using their web interface in Chrome. That is when things are normal.
The current situation is:That router web interface shows the satellite with "good" 5G backhaul at 192.168.1.256.
However, the satellite is not reachable through ping, or http://192.168.1.256/.
The satellite also has a solid magenta ring light. The satellite accepts WiFi connections from nearby devices but those devices don't have internet connectivity.
Power-cycling the satellite does not fix the issue. It flashes white (trying to connect to router) and then goes solid magenta.I'll factory-reset the satellites.
This has happened before. Either some hardware is getting flaky.. or the current firmware has some bug.
No IP address can contain 256. Not possible.
