White pulsing light a couple of times every day RBK50 AC3000

Hello everyone,

I did buy this AC3000 system for quite some money and i am not pleased at all. The problem i have been having is that some times everyday the ORBI system starts to pulsing white, and at the same time i loose internet connection, and im without internet for about 5 minutes. This is really irritating when trying to Skype/discord/play online.

My old cheap ASUS Wifi router was going strong with no errors for 3 years, but moved to a bigger house and needed a stronger signal. Took some time before i realised that it was the router that was loosing my connection and firstly blamed the internet provider. But as i installed a alarm system in my home i see that this system have perfect connection (Alarm installed directly to fiber).

And is NETGEARs costomer service for real? I was trying to create a ticket regarding this now, but i cant becouse 3 month have passed? I need to PAY to get help with a clearly broken "premium" item? Okey if it was like 1-2 years but after like 3 month?

I read on:

https://kb.netgear.com/31030/What-do-the-LEDs-on-my-Orbi-mean

That its applying update/configs. But i have the latest firmware on both sattelite and router. But still its doing the white pulsing from time to time every day.

Does anyone have had this problem and know a fix?

If netgear cant support me on this my Arlo pro 2 system bought 2 month ago gets returned in an instant.

Sorry for the lack of correct grammar, spent way to much of my time on this hardware.

Please help me, Regards John from Sweden

What is the Mfr and model # of the ISP modem the orbi router is connected too? Any built in router here by chance?

Any wifi neighbors near by? if so, how many and what channels are they using?

    Try setting manual channel 1, 6, 11 or 13 on 2.4Ghz and 48 on 5Ghz.

How big is your home? Sq Feet?

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? Feet

      Hello Furrye38,

Thank you for the quick answer.

      I have a: Allied Telesis AT iMG1525

      https://www.dustin.se/product/5010642722/at-img1525-gigabit-ethernet-single-fiber-intelligent-multiservice-gateway?ssel=false

I dont belive this have a built in router, it have five LAN ports and every item i connect (Home alarm is one of them) this recives a uniqie IP adress.

We dont live in in range of any outher wifi signals, have about 400 feet to closest neighbors. Thank you for this tip tho.

My home if the online calculator dont lie to me: 2200sqft (200m2) and the sat and router are about 8 meters apart (close) on diffrent levels. Orbilogin says i have a good connection to backhaul statuis.

      Thank you in advance.

Your Modem is a gateway, thus it has a built in router.

        Couple of options to test:

        1. Bridge the modem fully so that the orbi will be come the main router and gatway.

        2. If the modem can't be bridged, use it's DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem/router.

        3. Keep the modem in router mode and configure the Orbi router for AP mode.
