Whitelist
My teenage son is pretty smart and figured out how to change his MAC address anytime his time limit is exceeded. He's blocked for maybe 3 minutes and then he's back on again. The ability to have a whitelist and block all new devices would solve this issue. Any other solutions? I could manually block his "new" device everytime he gets back on the network, but this would be exceedingly tedious.
Thanks,
Dean

Maybe remove the device from the offending user until it's time for them to use it again?

Perhaps it would be worth looking at the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab, Security Menu. Under Access Control there are two options: (a) allow new devices to connect, and (b) NOT allow new devices to connect. Changing MAC address makes a "new device".
I have to confess (a) my impression is that dealing with resourceful teenagers is a challenge I am glad not to face, and (b) I personally do not turn on Access Control because it's a chore having to approve new devices when I experiment with them. Maybe this option does not actually function correctly? No idea.

Your son is daring not smart. What are you doing while he's doing what you don't want him?
