4500 sq ft. the Orbi router in the basement and the satelite in my home office which is the problem room for wifi in my home.
it does appear to be working fine. however, the light coming on the satelite every day is a bit annoying.
is there a way to measure if the wifi signal is dropping every time the light comes on?

Any chance of getting the router out of the basement on to the main floor by chance?
Or move the orbi satellite a bit closer. Like I said, could be anything that mabye causing the satellite to quicky drop or reconnect fast thus triggering the Blue LED. You can moved the satellite back.
Might even do a factory reset on the satellite and re-add it and see if it continues to appear.

My cable modem is the basement. I thought the router has to be direct connect to the modem without a switch.
Or can I move the router anywhere on my network?
please clarify. Thanks.

You could use a Gb non manged switch in between the modem and router if the router is the only item connected to it to help extend it from the modem, or use a long CAT6 cable between the modem and router as an option.

I could move the router to my home office which already has a switch in here for my printer and PC.
there is an open port on the switch available? Would that work?
