Why does the Orbi wireless stop working when the Internet goes down?
I have the RBK23 in AP mode, not router mode. The internet is managed by my server, and nothing to do with the Orbis.
When the Internet goes down, the wireless goes unavailable. The router and the satellites go magenta, and traffic doesn't pass.
Why? What can I do to fix this?
Looking at the outbound traffic from the Orbi router I see it keeps a session alive to some Internet server. Is there some sort of health check or connectivity check? If so, why would that bring the wireless APs down when the Internet goes down?

When the Orbi is in AP mode, all of the units typically get their IP address from a DHCP server. Without an IP address, they won't function. Is there some way to verify that your server is still providing IP addresses to the Orbi's?
