why orbi over another?
Been doing research on finding the best mesh wifi, after reading this:
https://yoursmarthomeguide.com/routers/google-wifi-vs-orbi-vs-eero-vs-velop
I am focues on one of these brands. Why Orbi over others? I thought it would be best to ask each community what they think
Thanks

For home mesh networking I've had two so far. Luma, which was bought out by First Alert to integrate into their tech. After they stopped updating it I switched to Orbi, which I have had nothing but problems. I have over 40 wireless devices on the network and at least weekly I have to reboot the router, not the modem or Orbi satellite, router only. I think it's related to the bug [Bug Fix] Fixes the wireless crash and reboot issue when the router is under stress. Which the last two firmware releases says is fixed. The last firmware update kept dropping the wireless on some devices and the wireless crash bug was still there. I had to downgrade in order get some stability. Unless you like fatory reseting the device and setting things backup with each firmware upgrade I say stay away from Orbi. I should have learned a lesson with their UTM150 Business Class firewall which they discontinued it was so bad.

I've posted this once recently. I've used multiple mesh networks. I'll rank them from my experience. Again, this is just my experience, it isn't scientific.
Here's how I'd rank what I've used.
1. Orbi RBK53
2. Arris W31
3. Orbi RBK43
4. TP-Link M9plus
5. Tenda MW6
This are the systems I've used so I can't speak to how the other wifi mesh systems work or reliablity. I will say that they've all had issues. None have been perfect.
Smallnetbuilder does reviews and ranks systems. there's great reviews there and its worth looking/reading through it a bit before buying your next system. They're fairly extensive reviews and testing.

Users can also find D-Link COVR MESH systems something to add to there review and research as well. Not sure where they actually rank among all the other Mfrs. D-Link as been around for a while.
