Wifi connection monitoring software

Hi all

 

While there are ongoing discussions regarding the stability issue of Orbi (me included), it seems most discussions are based on perceptions from some specific events which may or may not be related directly to the Orbi setup. Is there any wifi connection monitoring software (MacOS in my case) that anyone can recommend so that I can just turn on 24 hrs monitoring and objectively observe whether there is a pattern for those dropped connections?

    Because I can compare the downtime, connection speed, etc with those data reported by my BT SmartHub (or whatever the service provider's hub is) and see wether the slow-down/disconnection is related to the broadband provider or orbi. I am not an expert so these are just my naive thinking.
