wifi password not working
I have just reinstalled Orbi going back to factory settings as it had stopped working. I did it through my laptop and it seems to work fine now. When i reload the app onto my phone it can find the...

Sorry, I misunderstood. This may hinge on which "password" was entered on the laptop.
Orbi has at least two passwords (and up to three, see below).
- The WiFi password. This is created on the Orbi web interface, Basic Tab, Wireless.
A wired laptop, of course, does not need this password because it is "wired", rather than wireless.
This is the password that the iPhone and iPad need to use to connect over WiFi.
Might be useful to click on the icon of the "eye" and verify that the password is exactly what you remember. - The Orbi web interface itself has an "administrative" password that is usually different from the WiFi password.
During setup, the user is highly encouraged (almost badgered) to change it from "password" to something else.
This password is used only to access the Orbi administrative web interface, not to connect to WiFi.
After initial setup, this admin password can be changed on the Advanced Tab, Administration, Set Password. - If a person uses the Orbi "app", it uses the Netgear forum login and password to connect to the Orbi through the Netgear "cloud".
So, now that I have further muddied the water, the password that shows on the "Wireless" screen matches exactly what is being entered on the iPhone and iPad?

This may be more complicated than it needs to be. After the Orbi has been set up using the web interface using a laptop, there is no need for the "app" to connect other devices. i.e. the phone or ipad should detect the Orbi WiFi, you enter the new WiFi password that was set up with the laptop, and you're connected.
No "app" involved.

i may not have given enough info. the iphone and ipad is reqesting a password. when i put in the password used on the laptop the iphone and lap top say the password is incorrect.
