Wifi performance suddenly poor

Need to know if it is common for certain things to get bogged down when there is to much connected to the router and one satalite? I have recently added two amazon echo's and now my nest app is start...

there are 20 devices connected

are they all connected to the router base or satelllite or mixed connections? 

 

What FW is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

Was the system working well before you added more devices?

    they are probably connected to the base, I do not know how to connect them just to the satalite

    yes the system was fine until I added amazon echo's

      FW is Firmware.

       

      What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials. And how close are the devices to the router and satellites?
