WiFi with No Internet Connection After FW Update
Morning all, SInce I updated the firmware to 2.5.1.16 from 2.5.1.8, I am having an issue with Wifi being connected but no internet being available. To compound the issue, I get the message of 'Co...

Update as of this moment - installed Firefox (weird it wouldn't work with Chrome!) and was able to roll the firmware back on both the RBR and the RBS to the previous version, which is 2.5.1.8.
Did this around 1600 yesterday afternoon and as of 0930 this morning nothing has dropped the internet connection. Fingers crossed but I feel good that perhaps this did the trick because it would drop multiple times per hour, every hour, for the last couple weeks. Seemed to be the biggest problem on the Samsung S10E and my Androiud HiSense TV (maybe it is a conflict with the Android OS??) and now that I say that out loud, this happened on Android devices. Hmmm....
BretD Noticed you are an admin on this forum. Perhaps you could pass along my experience with this firmware update to Netgear Support. Thanks!

So the web page on the RBR reports no internet connection after the setup completes?
You don't need Armor or firewall in AP Mode as firewall is handled by the main host router up stream.
What browser are you using to downgrade? Use IE11x32 or firefox.
You are using a wired PC to downgrade? Don't use a wireless connection for FW dowgrades.

The RBR reports internet works fine. It's the WiFi connected devices that report 'Connected but No Internet'. It is intermittent and seems to be isolated to the WIRELESS devices. The WIRED devices that are directly connected to the RBR via ethernet are working just fine.
I get that the firewall on the 5268 works but I paid for Armor and like the interface and protection it affords and would rather it work as intended.
Using Chrome 83.0.4103.97. I'll download IE and Firefox and try as you suggest and report back.
Yes, using a PC directly wired into RBR to attempt the downgrade.

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).The firewall the ISP modem needs to be disabled since the RBR is in router mode. Having two firewalls running is not good. Be sur the wifi radios on the modem are fully turned OFF.

All this is in the post above. Again, it was working great up until recently. What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? Yes, I live in a neighborhood and can see 3 - 4 other networks when looking. I have been diligent to make sure our channels do not overlap.Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings. Tried that several times and in every variation over the last two weeks. Still cannot get it stable.,

Having two firewalls running is not good. Be sur the wifi radios on the modem are fully turned OFF. Yes, firewall is disabled due to the DMZ+ setting and yes, the radios are off on the 5268

I would try AP mode with the DMZ disabled on the modem.
One last thing would be to factory reset and not enable Armor to see if Armor maybe causing problems. Armor has been known to cause some problems.
