WiFi without Internet - How To?
How can I maintain WiFi when my internet access goes out? I have an RBR50 with a Netgear CM600 modem. Thanks much in advance!
Thank you for your response Furry. What I'm trying to do is, when my isp is out, AirPlay content from my iPad. I must not have something setup properly. When I try to do Screen Mirroring from my iPad, when the isp is out,I just get the spinning wheel of death and no recognition of my Apple TV devices. When the isp is connected I see the Apple TV devices to mirror to. Appreciative of your feedback!

So try this, if you unplug the WAN cable from the modem to the RBR, do you still notice this when you try to use apple features?
I couldn't find anything online that claimed that mirror AppleTV to your iPad requires a working internet connection, so I can't explain why you aren't able to do so when your Orbi wireless network is active but your Internet is out. Something is getting in the way.
Alternatively, it seems that you can use peer-to-peer AirPlay without even needing Wi-Fi so that might be another way to get what you're looking for: https://appletoolbox.com/connect-appletv-without-wifi-how-to/
