WiFi without internet - intentionally

My gf is renting a place short term (no internet) does not have inernet, but needs a local WiFi setup. I have an older Orbi (AC2200) I'm not using. Can I act as if I'm setting up a new system, or are there things I need to do during setup because there is no internet? Thanks!

Orbi systems work fine without an internet connection.  The obvious limitation, of course, is "no internet".

Otherwise, both wired and WiFi devices can communicate on a local area network.  Computers, media servers, file servers, printers, etc.  All good.

There was a fascinating post some years ago about a medical group that needed to set up a WiFi network out in the jungle. They had no internet access, but had dozens of computers, printers, servers, lab machines, etc. that needed to communicate with each other.  Too large a space for a single WiFi router to handle, so an Orbi mesh system was great.

It this short term rental is not a large area, then the Orbi WiFi router by itself might be perfect.
