Will my Ordi AC3000 RBR50 work with Docsis 3.1?

Would like to upgrade to a new modem for faster speeds, but Cox is saying I need 3.1 Docsis modem to get the 500 mbps of service.  Presently, I'm running an Arris Surfboard SB6183 Docsis 3.0 with up to 150mbps of service which is is very compatiable with my Orbi mesh system right now.  No problems.  Will that change to Docsis 3.1 modem cause issues with my RBR50 system?

No change at all.  The Orbi interface is gigabit ethernet.  The 3.1DOCSIS modem will be great.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure, since my RBR system is two years old and technology has changed. I see Netgear has a new model RBK and thought that I was going to have to upgraded my mesh also, to handle to higher speeds. I didn't want the added expense.

The new Orbi AX is a WiFi6 product.  Every manufacturer is releasing WiFi6 so that people who have WiFi6 devices can take advantage of some improved network capabilities.  When the time comes that you own enough WiFi6 things to make a difference, you may want to consider updating to a new WiFi system (from Netgear or somebody else).  Without WiFi6 devices to connect, the new product is similar to the original Orbi except for a couple of speed enhancements.
