windows 10 home intermittent and very sow internet
I have an Orbi with 2 satellites. This is now the 2nd PC that i bought recently with the same problems. First was a Samsung Edge and the replacement is an HP pavilion x360. Both have Windows 10 home....
Sounds like returning the laptop is not a solution. There is "something going on".
Which model of Orbi is this, and which version of firmware is on it?
The easiest way to get the model number is to pick it up and look at the label on the bottom.
The easiest way to learn the firmware version is to use a browser to open the Orbi web interface (http://orbilogin.net) and look at the upper right of the Home Page.
Thanks for replying. I just figured it out. For some unknown reason, my HP Pavilion x350 and possibly my prior LG edge laptop connects to one of the sattelites at the far end of my house. My windows home laptops for some reasons locks on that satellite and since I work mostly on the other end of the house which is close to the Transmitter unit and another satellite, the signal is weak that it keeps on dropping. The whole time however, the wifi bar signal on my laptops are very good not indicating poor signal. I switched satellitesand brought the one on the far side of the house (the one the laptop is locking to) and now my internet is fast. For some reason, all my other devices, macs, iphones, androids and other gadgets works well and has no problem transferring connection to he closest sattelite. This must be some incompatibility with windows 10 home since it happened on 2 different laptops. It's working for me now, so long as I stay close to the sattelite it is locking in. aybe you have a more technical reason why this is happening. Thanks for your attention and hopefully this is a solution for other mesh users.
