Wirelessly my laptop will exceed those speeds. Other wireless devices I own also get about half that wirelessly (iPad, iPhone, droid phone, etc). My Xbox on the other hand will only get at best 35Mbps down/ 20 up still. Tried several options but couldn't ever improve speed. Bought an Ethernet cable and boom, getting 120 down 22ish up. Any explanation as to why the Xbox speeds would vary that much between wired and wireless when my other devices do better?

Xbox wireless adapter drivers in there consoles have never been top notch or good performing. There are known various problems with some of there wifi adapters. Reason why it's recommended to always use ethernet connections for gaming consoles.
