Wish the lights could be customized...

I wish the lights could be used for day-to-day status other than only during inital setup & pairing.

 

I came from a Google Wi-Fi mesh system, and one of the features I enjoyed was being able to see the device(s) network/power status at-a-glance. The associated Google Wi-Fi app allowed me to control brightness - even had an option to disable lights if I wanted. Handy and cool looking, too. I'm sure NETGEAR can do this too with a fairly simple software update.

 

Dear NETGEAR Orbi product managers: Please consider it?

    Follow-up:

     

    Page 96 of this Orbi PDF manual states...

     

    "Manage the Orbi Outdoor Satellite LED Lighting

    If you own an Orbi Outdoor Satellite, you can turn its LED lighting on or off, adjust the LED brightness, or schedule when to turn on the light. You can also enable or disable the satellite's Sync button."

     

    This refers pecifically to the Orbi outdoor satellites, but clearly the Orbi software/firmware is capable of managing LED lights.
