Won't connect to satellites
RBR40 with 2 satellites distributed throughout house. Devices used to automatically connect to nearest satellite or router. Now all devices are always connected to router as shown in Orbi app network ...

Sometimes it is worth taking a minute to bring up the Orbi web interface using any web browser (http://orbilogin.net).
The menu includes "Attached Devices" which also shows where individual devices are connected.
What is the firmware release on the router (upper right corner of the web interface)?

Thanks for the quick response!
Your suggestion worked: I'm able to see devices connected to the router and the satellites when viewed on the web interface vs. the Orbi app.
V2.3.5.32 is my current firmware.
Thanks

It is probably a reflection on me being a crusty old guy, but the "app" just doesn't do much for me.
Release notes for the latest firmware, 2.5.1.16 claim it improves the device display. Go to Support and enter RBR40. Then select Downloads.
There is quite a controversy over whether doing a manual firmware update is a good idea.

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
Also be aware that it's up to the wifi devices them selves to pick and choose which signal to connect too.
If you reboot just the RBR alone leaving the RBS online, your devices should migrate to the RBS signal.
