Work VPN Being Throttled
Currently Using Netgear Orbi RBR50v2, Firmware V2.7.4.24 on a home network. I use a VPN for work and when I'm directly connected to my modem, I'm able to pull 170+ on the download when connected to ...
Big-IP Edge Client is my VPN, but I don't think that is what is throttling my connection. When I connect direct to my modem (ethernet connection) and use my VPN, I get over 150MB/s down. When I'm on the Orbi, I'm getting 8.86 down and 8.86 up.

Which VPN? Maybe that is throttling your connection.
Anything that forces your router to work hard on signal processing – parental controls, QoS and maybe VPN – can slow things down.
