Well! After calls to at&t, Sierra, and Netgear, I am told I need to purchase a new battery because they only last about a year and the old one could be causing all the no battery and connection problems - which still sometimes says battery is at 100%. New batteries can be found on Amazon for $10 which is reasonable if the battery is the problem. Yes, sometimes it works with the battery removed, but not other sessions.
I agree it's curious so many are having the same issues. I would not have found out except Netgear insisted on my registering. Sierra sold to Netgear so batteries are labelled either way.
I have been connected almost 20", but earlier it was just about 3". My partner is tech challenged so we both are not happy.

That's sort of good news, I can live with $10 a year for a new battery. I'm curious to see whether or not this solves the problem once and for all.

I tried a new battery - worked for a day and right back to no bat error. Went back to ATT and got sold a cheaper model of the same- Battery not so good but the one I bought works well in it. We should get an extended warrenty for the piece of junk.

You can try a different battery but I have doubts it will work. I bought one and it didn't work. Maybe I got a bad battery?
