AirCard 785S without battery
Hello!
I have a problem with turning on AC 785S without battery, only on AC power supply. I found similar topic where someone confirmed that it is working, but not in my device.

JasonN, yes I did. It was 2.4A 5V USB charger as I mentioned before. Maybe it doesn't work because of USB autocoding. What USB voltages at data pins does it need to run?
However I found a simple and easy solution (workaround?). I just put a small piece of adhesive tape inside the USB plug to insulate two pins in the middle: D+ and D-. After that it works and takes about 200 mA with a good signal strength and 2 clients connected.

Hi ordos18,
I'm glad you were able to find a work around for you issue. :]
For USB voltages, I would suggest calling the NETGEAR support line.
