AT&T Carrier Subsidy Unlock

I shipped back my defective AC797S yesterday. Is it likely that the replacement will be locked to the AT&T Wireless network? I did the carrier subsidy unlock on mine last year. I had to contact AT&T to do it. I would much rather get one from the factory that is already carrier subsidy unlocked. Is it possible to have Netgear send me one that it already unlocked?
