Battery won't charge on older MR1100 but MR1100 works when plugged in!

4 year old original battery all of a sudden stopped taking a charge when it had always done great. Bought and 3rd party battery on Amazon and so far it did not take a charge either.

I have tried a two different cords and neither one are working.

My guess is that some type of circuit or fuse got blown in the device to prevent charging. Has anyone ever heard of this?

[I have done the "reset" by sticking a pen into the reset button, and have also done a reboot online. But neither worked.]
