Check for LTE UPDATES fails

From the Router App - Router Settings - Router Information
At the bottom of the screen you have 2 options 1. Check for UPDATES =
Which it performs OK
2. Check for LTE UPDATES = FAILS with the message
There was a problem checking Firmware update: skip or try again

  • what device do you have? 

    And what firmware version are you on? 

    Have you checked the support site for updates to the firmware? 

    There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
    Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
    Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
    Its a great resource to start with.
