Connecting multiple Ac750 s to Nighthawk M1
Hoping this is the right location to ask !! Installed an M1 and looking to extend Wi-Fi coverage using Powerline in multiples (2 possibly 3). 1/ Can’t figure out if AC750 has a sender box or con...
A couple of things.
1. AC750 usually denotes 300mbps on the 2.4ghz and 450mbps on the 5ghz. But that's just link speed, not actual throughput. Throughput on the 2.4ghz tends to be 20-40mbps on those style devices.5ghz maybe 100-200mbps if you've got a good signal.
2. michaelkenward suggestion of just getting straight powerline devices and connecting a mesh system might be a better option. A little more expensive but easier to use for walking through the home
3. another option is if you have coax ran throughout the home already would be MoCa adapters (ethernet over coax). The new 2.5 version has quite decent throughput. Might also be an option.
why not pickup a renewed triband mesh system?
The powerline devices haven't been updated in a long time and they're not mesh.

They can be if you use them just as a bit of wire that does the wired backbone for a network.
It works here with an MS90 satellite connect to a mesh router MR90 with PL1000s.
- Thx both for such quick replies, we can’t cable as 3ft thick walls and our guests phones/tablets linkage will not be wired. so logic was Wi-Fi plug onto the ring-main (wire) to create WiFi ‘repeaters’/access points linking to the M1. The alternative is pulling down ceilings and very big drills !!!
Current max mb connection is 4G @ 120mb/s, so even AV750s are potentially overkill as their throughput 350 - 400mb/s! But if/when the Mb signal is upgraded to 5G we’ll still be ok !🤞
AC750s are currently £25 ($30) in 🇬🇧, mesh is £000s. So Michael do you think I would need a PL1000 in addition to the AC750s or would they link to the Nighthawk M1? Thx … StuA couple of things.
