Could any one help me upgrade my internet hardware?

Hi i am from Finland and i am looking to upgrade my internet hardware. Right now i have a Netgear Nighthawk mobile router. That i use daily in my house. I would like to get better hardware for about 300€. I am looking to buy a proper Netgear router with a modem. My internet speed is also pretty weak about 25mbps. So does upgrading my router and getting a modem with it make it faster? And also the nearest internet tower is about 10km away from my house?

    Your mobile router uses the mobile phone network. How do you want to connect to the Internet? What services does your Internet service provider provide? DSL? Cable? Something else?

     

    Ask the ISP which modems are compatible with the network.

    Do you mean a combined modem/router or two separate devices? Separate is better because you have a much wider choice of routers. You can also use the same router with different Internet services, cable, mobile or DSL for example.

    This suggests that you have to use the mobile network. Generally, replacing a modem will do little to speed up you Internet. But you haven't said anything about your current modem. So who knows if a new one would be any better?
