DC112A firmware update fails
I tried to update firmware on my Dc112A. It says there is a new update available. When I select to update it gets to the stage where it is updating language file and fails. I have tried resetting modem and tried several times with no success. I also tried to look for the new firmware files but i can't find them in the download centre

This issue is not SOLVED yet.
The DC112A with the DC112A-1TLAUS SKU will still not accept this update and its been months.
So I started a multiple posts dating back to April regarding the fact that the 1.0.0.43 F/W update does not support the 1TLAUS SKU version of this device at all and it never got resolved even though there were a number of CVE's that applied to the previous F/W that i'm stuck with.
Now a Hotfix has been released 1.0.0.46 covering even more vulnrabilites.
and supprise it doesn't support the 1TLAUS SKU like every other firmware release back to 1.0.0.42.
can you guys please sort this out - the issue was resolved for other SKU's but not the Australian one.
There are a number of vulrabilities that I want to patch and this is not good enough.
I'm ready to go to the ACCC and open a case as this product is still being sold retail with a number of known vulnrabilities and until you fix this update to support the SKU it is a hazard to consumers.
I used to be a netgear fanboy but this is really appaling and put me off.

i have the same issue, 'This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product.'
I have the AUS model as well, product not for for purpose anymore with this current situaion.
Like other AUS users, i used to appreciate the Netgear product, generally reasonablly good features, especially the LPC, hoewver very poor support from Netgear, never again!!!! by Aus standards, this is fradualent product...

so netgear are silent on the issue, and continue to provide crap service huh ?
Yep
I used to swear by netgear products ever since the early 2000's
Have recommended them to many of my business customers, god know how many sales of Prosafe netgear products have been due to the business i've done. not to mention all of the home products to friends and family that have been made due to my recomendations.
The way the are treating us home users with a less popular but still supported poducts is bull....
Most mum and dad home users would have no idea that they are sitting on vulnrable devices.
The fix should be easy - make sure this SKU is included in the Firmware build list for the product family root firmware but aparently in 11 months that is too hard, i'm just going to put it down to the company is being run by a bunch of cash hungry execs chasing the bottom line with little genuine care for their loyal customers - its pretty obvious when you look at how the support stucture is setup, also the firmware team looking at other threads is pretty incompetent or not being given enough resources to do their job properly as testing seems to be absent by the number of broken F/W's being released.
I'm done with patiently waiting
Goodbye Netgear.
