In the wifi settings have you tried to change the 2.4Ghz bandwidth to 20mhz I have read from other community members that IOS devices do better on 20 compared to 40mhz.

Thanks for the advise.

I have adjusted it from 40Mhz to 20Mhz. I have not used the AC790 enough to verify if this solved the connection issues. Furthermore I noticed when adjusting the Mhz settings that on the 2.4Ghz WiFi band the password contained an additional a. Apparantly that changed unnoticed when putting the AC790 in a pocket a while ago. Hopefully with 20Mhz and the proper password the connections are stable again. Do you know if there is a new firmware in the make?
