Teh Firmware Version is NTGX24_10.13.09.00- W1lliamSep 04, 2019Virtuoso
With FW NTGX24_10.13.09.00, you can disable displaying the detail on LCD by SETTINGS->Setup->Wireless and uncheck "Display info on LCD", then you won't see the detail on LCD. This is done from Web GUI, not on the LCD itself.

I agree the option is there, it was through the Web GUI I unticked “Display info on LCD”, but it does not remove the detail on the LCD, it only masks the username and password (which can be unmasked simply by tapping them) as per my original post.
I have an M1 on the unticking the box works perfectly, but the M2, in my opinion, has a serious security flaw.
