As an after thought:
They do sell great antenne and cases for these on Amazon. BUT I also read here some people see little to no improvment from them. Amazon sells a lot of junk that does not work as advertised!
I would like to see the top become a wireless charger for cell phone and ear buds!
I also recomend you go through each and every setting reading the full manual!

This has gotten a bit off topic except for the good advise of reading all of the options and capabilities of the unit, which I will. I just downloaded them today since I intent to bid on eBay for one and it won't come with docs.
Concerning antenna working or not, I discovered through ignorance and mistakes there are many factors that can cause unsatisfactory results that can be improved. A lot can be learned on Youtube and I recommend following simple directions found there and build one or two. I have built powerful 'cantenna' and shared my net with distant neighbors, then by putting up a second one for another neighbor cancelled out the first one because of wave interference, which I learned to solve.
So consumers who report no improvement doesn't mean much, one size doesn't fit all. An omnidirectional (360 degree) antenna won't do much, but a directional antenna can be 100X more powerful. And placement is everything, clear line of sight (trees - 30 to 50%), alignment of antenna=waves, usually vertical (5 degrees off = 90% loss).
