How to create a security code on your Netgear N150 Wireless Router WNR1000v3
Hello my name is Sweet_Pea, Can someone, anyone , please assist me with the information on how to set a security code on my Netgear wi-fi so that it is not an open site for anyone to get access. I am new to the site and I really would appreciate the know-how. Thank you so much in advance!

Hi Sweet_Pea,
I am more than glad to help you with your issue.
Refer to the link below for the steps to set a password on your wifi network.
Please let me know if this works for you. :]
- Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your router’s network.
- Enter www.routerlogin.net.
A login window displays. - Enter the router admin user name and password.
The admin user name is admin. If you did not change the admin password, the default password is password.
The BASIC Home page displays. - Select Wireless.
The Wireless Settings page displays. - Under the Security Options, select a WPA option.
The WPA2 options use the newest standard for the strongest security. WPA2-PSK (AES) is the default setting.
The Password field displays. - In the Password field, enter a new password (network key).
It is a text string from 8 to 63 characters. - Write down the new password and keep it in a secure place for future reference.
- Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.

Hi Sweet_Pea,
When you are saying a security code, do you mean a password for your network so no one can connect to it?
Please let me know. :]
