How to set-up Telstra Aircard 790S for use with AT&T data sim?

Purchased on Ebay of last year. My Netgear support has expired. This hotspot device worked fine with TMobile sim, but for some reason will not allow for access and set-up with AT&T sim in slot. Verified that the sim is activated as it works in 2 different devices. Any help (esp from Netgear folk?) would be greatly appreciated.

    What is the status when you use the AT&T sim? 

    What is the firmware/software version? 

     

    Please make sure that you have the correct APN settings.

      Not sure on firmware or software.

       

      The sim card is activated and works in other devices though. AT&T tech seems to think it may have "locked" to the TMobile data sim that worked fine in it. Not up to speed on this stuff, so that could be true?
