I have a lb1120 modem connection failure

My modem tells me I need a firmware update but I cant get a connection to do the update, I have tryed to use a wireless connection on my pc but every time I connect the modem to my computer I loose connection and it would not connect,

    What are you doing there? I'm afraid that "can't get a connection" could mean many things. What are you doing and where does it go wrong?

    Where possible, never update firmware over wifi. It is more likely to lose the connection mid update, wrecking the device.

     

    Visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

    Look for the model number on the label on the device.

    Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.

    Check the section in the manual Upgrade the Firmware of the Modem.

    You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

      I did try that aleardy but you see this device only connect via a cell phone signal so it wount get a signal and when I connect it to my pc that has a wifi signal from another scorce my pc looses its wifi connection and when I connect it through a hub the device still will not detect a data connection to update, and there are no places to get the update other than the device portal

    What happens when you "lose connection"?

     

    How are you trying to connect? What messages do you see?
