I need help setting up a home network - with Verizon Mobile Hotspot

So we have a verizon mobile hotspot.  I use an hp laptop, have an hp printer/scanner/copier/fax/machine and my husband has a lenovo.  I'm flying with zero tech knowledge here and I'm pretty much just chasing my tail because I am so inexperienced and uneducated about tech.  I purchased a Netgear wifi router and a Netgear wifi adapter (bc this worked when I set up home network last time on PC - I now realize this device is unnecessary for this venture.)

First, this really centers around my need for a network so I can set up the printer for a small business we are just starting.  Second, I'm not even really sure I got the right equipment today.  The mobile hotspot doesnt have an ethernet port.  And even if it did, it would defeat the purpose of wifi network?
