Is my AC790S locked to Telstra?

Is my AC790S locked to Telstra? Can I used another provider's SIM in it?

I don't know if it's locked, but Telstra would only support using a Telstra SIM with it.

 

If it is possible to use a different carrier's SIM and you run into issues and think there's a hardware issue under warranty you'd need to put a Telstra SIM back in to rule out issues with the unsupported provider.

    I took the unit to a Telstra shop and they said it would be locked to a Telstra SIM, however I could call Telstra and have it unlocked by providing the IMEI number. So I called and was told that their unlocking system has been down for a few days. So I might be able to unlock it... still waiting to find out.
