Is there any limitations on running MR1100 without battery?

I plan to connect the hotspot to a home router. Will I be able to update the hotspot if there is no battery connected to the hotspot? Thanks

I am going to purchase the device without battery and the reason for that is because the exporting country customs will not allow it to be shipped with its lithium battery inside the box.
