Is there any limitations on running MR1100 without battery?

I plan to connect the hotspot to a home router. Will I be able to update the hotspot if there is no battery connected to the hotspot? Thanks

Without battery, you are not allowed to upgrade the device. This is a feature to protec the device from being bricked due to sudden loss of power if no battery inserted during upgrade.

We are going to sell satndalone battery for M1. Please check. Maybe you can buy the battery later.
