LAX20 VPN issues

Having issues connecting to VPN on the LAX20 router using 4G LTE as the WAN. Packets are not getting to the router via hostname or IP address. Also tried to use VPN on synology NAS but packets are still not getting the outside WAN interface, ports are being forwarded. Are there issues with port forwarding and VPN when using 4G LTE for internet? I do not have interent service to test a physical WAN connection.
