Lb1120 False Advertising
Ive been going a few months with a terrible modem. The modem I have struggles to get 1 mbps download speeds, and I have had to quit some of my favorite games because I can not download their updates in reasonable time. I decided I had enough, I bought the LB1120 LTE modem. The reason I need LTE is because the only isps in my area are charging me hundreds in down payment, and not to mention they are a contract, so they can do whatever they want when youre locked into it. Ive heard people at work talking about them saying they increase their montly bills, slow down speeds, whatever. So my only option is a LTE connection. I go through the week or so it took to arrive, after it being delayed at about 2 days It finally arrives, I am as excited as a kid on christmas day because I no longer have to settle with a strict nat type, I no longer have to quit my favorite games the moment they get an update. But after about an hour I am already ready to pack it up and return it. The modem does not work with sprint. The product description on amazon clearly states it is unlocked and works with any sim card. But I guess this situation is my fault because I trusted the product description and didnt feel the need to research it for days. Sprint is also the only good carrier in my area. Other carriers such as AT&T offer a whopping 18 giga bytes of hotspot for like 70 dollars. Sprint offers 100 giga bytes of data, that rolls over, for 60 dollars. Tmobile, verizon arent any better with their 30gb and 22gb respectively, for similar prices. I also dont really want to use dedicated hotspot devices anymore. I used to be a customer for an off brand hotspot carrier called MightyWifi, they offered the most data per month that I ever seen, 300gb. But the problem is that I dont want to babysit the device all day. One day I left the device plugged in and the battery swelled up. I am a gamer and no one wants to keep an eye on their wifi device all day making sure its not at 100% or going dead. So in the end this was a complete waste of time for me. The product description tells me it works with any sim, but it does not work for sprint.
