Ugh... I'm afraid you're exactly right. I'm on an AT&T plan as well. My neighbor is on the same plan as me and he hasn't had any issues yet.
Have you figured out any settings to minimize the occurrence of this problem? I'm thinking about creating a script on my raspberry pi to automatically reboot the modem if the internet goes out.

I created a python script to check internet connectivity every 3 minutes from my raspberry pi and reboot the modem if the connection drops out. I'd be willing to share if anyone out there is interested and already has a Linux computer running 24/7 to monitor their modem status. Now I don't have to manually reset the modem!

You can also change bands (from Auto to LTE All and viceversa) and it's more quickly than rebooting the router.- scarter05Nov 11, 2020Aspirant
I don't see that option on the LB1120 modem. Band is stuck at Auto.
I tried to click the disconnect button and then re-connect, but that didn't seem to resolve the issue. Full reboot for me...
