LB2120 and T-Mobile: slow speeds, especially download

Using LB2120 with T-Mobile SIM

 

I get slow downlaod speeds (0.6 - 0.8Mbps) and moderate upload (6.0-8.0Mbps) speeds over the LB2120 using 4G LTE modem connection.  Full bars of network signal.

 

Same SIM in a phone in the same location, also gets full bars of network signal, and gets 8Mbps down and 8Mbps up (or better from time to time).  Have chatted with T-Mobile support multiple times and they say nothing on their side should throttle the line, so from their side it must be the router.

 

I've seen some threads on these forums that suggest changing the TTL to 65 or something like that, but that's not feasible for all the devices that I want behind the LB2120.  Plus it seems odd that in a phone the same SIM gets decent speeds.

 

Anything else that can be done?  or just not use an LB2120 on T-Mobile?

    Please describe your network setup. Do you have a router connected to LB2120? 

    How did you test the Internet speed? 

     

    Kindly reset LB2120 to factory default settings, you can use either the Reset button on the bottom of the modem or the modem’s web pages.
