LB2120 in bridge mode not failing over to LTE
I have an Arris surfboard (optimum) -> LB2120 -> Netgear AC series WiFi access point. I have a lot of static IPs and since the LB2120 doesn't support this, I don't want to use the DHCP service on that. Optimum provided IP address is dynamic. My first setup was to have LB2120 in bridge mode with IP as default with 192.168.5.1. My current LAN range (DHCP from Wifi AP) is 192.168.1.x. In bridge mode, I'm fine with the wired connection to optimum and can open the LB's browser at 192.168.5.1. When I disconnect the Optimum connection, it doesn't seem to failover and I can't get to the LB address. I know I'm getting LTE data because FreedomPop shows my data usage ticking up (presumably modem pings). I also tried putting it in router mode and disabling the DHCP service, but no go. I managed to screw it up so badly by enabling VPN that I had to do a factory reset because I couldn't get to the LB. So I'm wondering if changing the LB address to within my LAN range of 192.168.1.x is necessary or if anyone had any other thoughts. Appreciate any help.

Stuartsjg Update to my post (is there no way to edit/update a post?).
In bridge mode, i unplugged the connection to my cable modem and the LB2120 did fail over to the LTE provider. However, my router (LAN port on LB to WAN port on router) was showing no WAN IP address. I rebooted the router and then it picked up the WAN IP of the LTE provider and I had 4G access from. I had waited probably five minutes to see if it would pick it up on it's own. Interestingly, when I plug back in the cable from the cable modem, the router quickly picks that up from the LB. The cable provider did provide the same IP as before, whereas the LTE provider seems to issue new IP addresses very quickly, each time I connect seemingly.
I used a laptop plugged directly into the LAN port of the LB and it seemed to switch seemlessly to the new IP address whether it was going to the Cable modem or the LTE provider, so it seems to be the router that's not picking it up correctly when failing over to LTE. Any ideas?
